Tim Flattery is one of the advertising industry’s most experienced executives. He has just been appointed as head of Carat Sydney's new branded entertainment division Carat Engage. Previously Tim held the dual title of Head of Brand-Funded Content for Mitchell Communication Group and General Manager of Digital Artists. He also spent two years as Head of TV and New Media Development for Becker Entertainment developing and producing TV series for cable channels in New York, Washington and Los Angeles encompassing channels and shows.
In 1996 he launched the well known social forecasting and new media development firm Pophouse and was Managing Director until 2003. After selling the hugely successful trends tracking company he started an Indie production company specialising in wilderness shows while simultaneously writing for the animated talk show Rock Pig.
Tim also led online classified advertising initiatives for Australia Consolidated Press’s Trader Division. Tim has sat on the Board of the Australian Futures Foundation 2000–2002 and his first book Ideas Generation published in 2001 has sold over 10,000 copies thus far. Tim is one of Australia’s most exciting creative forces and has led the industry for a decade in the world of digital media.
